Mountings . . . While the 1800 series is available in a face mount the 2800 and 3800 series are available in face mount or foot mount. Application specific mounting configuration is available.
Construction . . . The Stator is mounted inside an aluminum shell to dissipate heat more efficiently. Samarium cobalt magnets are perminately bonded to a steel return path that promotes high performance, low inertia and efficiency in a cost effective package. End frames may be closed or ventilated, depending on the application.
Bearings . . . Since the bearings are generally the only wearing component in a BLDC motor, shielded or sealed ball bearings are the only options available.
Shafts . . . Standard shafts are cold drawn steel. Standard diameter on the 1800 series is .188", the 2800 series is .310 and the 3800 series comes standard with a .500 shaft. Other materials and diameters may be supplied to your specification.
